Square section GSD-fenders offer similar advantages to GDD-fenders and are typically used where a stiffer fender is required. They are also commonly used on the bow or stern of smaller tugs as pushing fenders.

Extruded Fender is able to be delivered with fixing points, i.e. holes drilled into the fender, sloping ends, fixing plates, bolts and accessories. Extruded lengths vary dependant on handling and transport criteria. Extruded fenders are normally used as side fendering on tugs, supply vessels and pilot boats.
